What is the need to give the presentation? Is it merely for transferring knowledge or for some other purpose? Before you start presenting your speech, you must know about goals. Ask the person who requested you make a speech the below questions:

* What the audience can achieve with this speech?

* Which action do we want the audience to take with this presentation?

* What impact do we want to give our audience about our project?

After getting the answer to this question, you can start collecting the information for your presentation.

Know your audience:

What type of audience will come for attending your speech? What is their role within the organisation? What is their attitude towards your presentation? Asking these kinds of questions will help you to understand your audience more and you can prepare your speech according to the audience’s mindset. If your audience is no keen on the topics which you are presenting, you can focus on evidence that supports your demand. If they interested in technical part of your topic, you have to concentrate on that area and explain in detail. If they do not have technical knowledge, you require a high level presentation.

Brighten your presentation:

Your way of presentation must suit the culture of your organization as well as your audience. If your employer is very strict, your presentation must focus on the fact with limited humor. If your employer is casual, you can present in an entertaining manner and also must be highly informative.
